Academic - Distinguished Achievement Program

North Kansas City Schools sets high expectations for students to accept the challenges of rigorous course work and performance assessments, earn college credit as juniors and seniors in high school, take Advanced Placement courses and exams earning advanced standing in colleges and universities, develop a portfolio, experience an internship, develop a senior exhibition and perform community service.

The rewards are tremendous as students may become Gold Medallion Honors Diploma recipients and/or International Baccalaureate diploma candidates graduating with Honors for Distinguished Achievement. Distinguished Achievement Honor graduates will be recognized at senior honor programs and graduation for their outstanding academic performances with recognition in printed programs and the addition of a gold cord to their graduation gowns. Additionally, Honor graduates will receive Gold Diploma covers and Gold Distinguished Achievement seals on their diplomas.

A+ benefits are available with all North Kansas City Schools diploma options.
