September 10 — Oak Park is KCTV5 Cool School of the Week. View live interviews with students and school officials at Oak Park beginning at 5:25 a.m. through 7 a.m. on KCTV5 (channel 5 or TWC channel 3) and later from 7-8 a.m. on KSMO-TV (channel 62 or TWC channel 10).

runs from noon until 4 p.m. with lunch at 1 p.m.

October 1 — Staley High School Homecoming. Game with Grandview at the District Activities Complex. beginning at 7 p.m.
October 1 — Winnetonka High School Homecoming. Game with Raytown at the District Football Stadium in North Kansas City beginning at 7 p.m.
October 5 — The Chouteau McDonald's has "adopted" Winnetonka High School as its feature school for the national McTeacher's Night Program. Winnetonka teacher volunteers will "man" the windows from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5. A percentage of profits earned during this time will go to support Winnetonka activities. October 8 — North Kansas City High School Homecoming. Game with Truman at the District Football Stadium in North Kansas City beginning at 7 p.m.
October 9 — Winnetonka Vocal Music Parents' Assn. presents The Elders, Saturday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Winnetonka High School auditorium, 5815 NE 48th Street. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. General admission is $15. For more information, call (816) 863-4166. Proceeds will be used to purchase choral risers for the Winnetonka concert stage.
October 11 — Staff Development Day.
No School K-12. District staff should plan for Building-Based activities in the morning and Districtwide in the afternoon.
